LeitFahr³ – Development of the “Bavarian action aids to increase motivation in the everyday life of truck drivers”
The research project LeitFahr³: Development of the “Bavarian action aids to increase motivation in the everyday life of truck drivers”, funded by the Bavarian State Ministry of Housing, Building and Transport, deals with health-related and motivating factors in the everyday working life of truck drivers in local transport. The aim of the study was to find ways to improve the working conditions of truck drivers. The analysis of motivating factors and stressors in everyday working life should help to reduce the psychological strain on drivers and lower the risk of mental and psychosomatic illnesses.
The focus was on the question of which stressors are related to the intention to quit, but also to the well-being of the drivers. In addition, it was asked to what extent a strong embedding in the company and in the private living environment can reduce the intention to quit and promote the well-being of drivers, even if the stress at work is high due to time pressure and work organization problems (e.g. at the ramp).
